Shimadzu Europa GmbH is the European headquarters of Shimadzu Corporation (Kyoto, Japan). Shimadzu has been present in Europe since 1968. The European headquarters is located in Duisburg, Germany. Today, Shimadzu employs more than 900 people in Europe and has branches, subsidiaries and strategic partnerships in 48 countries. Unified by a central approach: to provide top class solutions.

 

 

Laboratory World

Shimadzu Europe opened the Laboratory World in 2016 for its customers from all over Europe. On an area greater than 1,500 m2, testing facilities are available for Shimadzu’s entire product range – from chromatographs, spectrophotometers, TOC analyzers, mass spectrometers and balances up to material testing machines. Mass spectrometry, a technology that Shimadzu has shaped significantly in recent years, will be highlighted in its dedicated space. In addition, laboratory areas for customer applications and seminar facilities are being expanded.

Arriving by Car

Kreuz Breitscheid (A3/A52) from direction Köln

If you are coming from Köln, take the Kreuz Breitscheid (A3/A52) and continue on motorway A524. Then, change to motorway A59 towards Du-Zentrum. Take the Duisburg-Großenbaum (Nr.15) exit and at the traffic light, go straight into Albert-Hahn-Straße. After 400 meters, you will reach Shimadzu on your right.

A2/A3 from direction Hannover

If you are coming from Hannover, take either A2/A3. If you are coming from Oberhausen/Essen, take A42. If you are coming from Essen/Venlo, take A40. Change to motorway A59 at the Duisburg-Nord or Duisburg motorway intersection. Take the Duisburg-Großenbaum (Nr.15) exit and at the traffic light, turn left. After 200 meters, turn right into Albert-Hahn-Straße. After 400 meters, you will reach Shimadzu on your right.

Arriving by Train
  • From Airport Düsseldorf: Take the train S1 in direction Duisburg HBF (central Station)
  • From Duisburg HBF: Take the train S1 in direction Düsseldorf-Flughafen (airport)
From the railway station in Duisburg-Großenbaum go downstairs and turn right. You come to the Albert-Hahn-Straße and turn right again. After 500 meters you will find Shimadzu Europa GmbH on the left side.
Arriving by Bus
You can arrive with the bus line 940 at the bus station "Duisburg Großenbaum Bf West" which is just two minutes away by foot.
Arriving by Plane
The nearest airport is Düsseldorf Airport.
